What Would an Astroneer Wear? [SPELLS]

Astroneer

Within the past week I’ve started playing a little game on Steam that is in Early Access/its Pre-Alpha phase right now and it is a space survival game called Astroneer. And let’s just say I wouldn’t be making a post about it if I hadn’t fallen madly in love with it. It’s still a little buggy in places, but since it’s in Pre-Alpha, that’s totally understandable and forgivable. There’s so much to explore and do in the game already so the fact that it’s only in Pre-Alpha and already amazing blows my mind.

Astroneers!Basically, you play as an Astroneer (an astronaut/engineer) who is exploring a new planet — either by yourself or with friends (Nate and I have been playing and more people makes it even more entertaining — easier to manage/dig/build/etc. too!) — digging, building, discovering, not suffocating. There are all kinds of fun things to do here! It’s actually a very relaxing game for me. The music is chill and gives the right amount of ambiance and the sense of childlike awe that washes over me when I load a game and fly down to my little home base or watch another planet pass overhead is always a welcome feeling.

Since I’ve been pretty much mainlining this game recently, I thought I’d make a Spells post for it! Obviously, in space, if you were exploring a new planet, you wouldn’t be wearing any of the things below. You’d be smart and wearing a space suit, like these little darlings to the left. But, we can pretend these are for when the Astroneers come home and are hailed as heroes for all the majestic insanity they discovered in space and they have to attend galas and parties in their honor. Or whatever, this is just for fun. 😉

I went extremely nerdy with it too and picked outfits for materials and spacesuits and just… I’m sorry.

Naturally, I had to start with some spacesuit-esque looks. The shinier the better!

Astroneers need to look fabulous when they’re getting all their kudos and being celebrated. Why not do it in something decorated with the exact place they were exploring?

My Tiny Orange Bean!

So… I’m not normally a fan of orange (whole orange outfits, anyways XD) but I have fallen in love with it thanks to my precious bean Astroneer that I play as in the game. Seriously, look at him. He is a cinnamon roll and can do no wrong. I had to show my adoration for my little Astroneer and his orange puffball of a suit so I picked the looks above and below!

Like I said, I usually don’t go for orange but I’ll make an exception for my favorite puffy little orange suit son. ♡

I could say DID U NEED SOME– again, but you get the gist. I picked the gown on the left for the same reasons as the McQueen looks above (even though I also thought it just fit and would look super classy at a fancy event) and then the Dior look on the right was chosen because of the styling (the moon headpiece added extra space-oomph there) and the feel of the gown (airy, moon-like, etc.)… I won’t hide the fact that after I chose it I also thought THE TOP PART KIND OF LOOKS LIKE COMPOUND because I am the worst.

Basically, if you like space and/or exploring and/or relaxing gaming experiences and/or amazing soundtracks — or all of the above! — be sure to check out Astroneer!
